about

1. Anxiety
2. Why did I make so much fuss? That was nice
3. Move to the coast

Oh my... this has turned out so well! I wanted to produce a prog rock opus (get me!) and, with the help of some very special musicians, including YES bassist Billy Sherwood, it has surpassed my expectations. The song is about a strange fear of the ocean I used to have. The track finishes with me suggesting my wife and I move to the coast, so clearly my feelings have changed!
It also features a reunion of my prog rock band, Ogre Tales (Ian and Steve), formed in 1975!

lyrics

A drive to the ocean, arrive at the sea
A drive to the ocean, overwhelms me
A fear of the water, in awe of the swell
A wave of emotion, it’s so hard to tell

You’re standing beside me, easing my fear
‘Just watch the horizon, I’ll always be near’
A fear of the water, in awe of the swell
A wave of emotion, it’s so hard to tell

Let’s move down to the coast now, and we’ll live by the sea
the sand beneath our feet
It’s just where we would want to be
The sun is on the rise now, so finish up your tea
Just grab your coat and go
There is beauty there to see
Let’s move down to the coast now, and we’ll live by the sea
the sand beneath our feet
It’s just where we would want to be
We’re driving to the coast now,
Arriving at the sea
